Getting started
Your first site
Copy page
From an empty account to something a visitor can open.
1. Create the site
From the dashboard, New site — on a brand-new account it opens by itself. It asks for two things:
- a name — the site gets a free address ending in
.mightybuilder.site, and you can attach your own domain later without rebuilding anything; - the brief — a couple of paragraphs about the business: who it is for, what it sells, the tone, anything that must appear, and your facts (addresses, phone numbers, email, opening hours). This is the highest-leverage thing you will type. The AI reads it on every turn, so a good brief means you stop repeating yourself. See The brief.
Your first site is also where a new account’s 150 free credits land. Every site after it starts with none; add credits or upgrade it on its Billing screen to use the AI there.
2. Choose how to start
The new site opens and asks how you would like to start:
-
Build a homepage — from the brief. The wording is yours to change, so it can be anything you like:
Build a five-page site for a family bakery in Leeds. Home, our bread, cakes to order, find us, and contact. Warm and plain — no stock-photo language.
-
Move my existing site here — give the address of the site you have now, and the AI reads it and rebuilds it here;
-
I’ll look around first — nothing starts; the Assistant is in the sidebar whenever you want it.
Either of the first two opens the Assistant working on it. If the brief says nothing about how the site should look, it asks a few short questions first — answer them, or tell it to decide. The answers go into the brief, so every later page is designed from them too.
It will write the pages, the navigation and the styling, and tell you what it made. Everything is a draft.
3. Look at it
Use Preview, which builds from your drafts. Walk the pages. Ask for changes in the same conversation — it remembers what it just built.
4. Publish
When it looks right, press Publish. The whole site goes out at once, and the address in the top bar becomes a link you can open.
Then what
Add your own domain, upload real photographs to replace the generated ones, and keep talking to it. Nothing you do next needs a rebuild.
