Pictures
Copy page
Upload one, make one from a description, or bring one back from a page on the web. Sizes, formats and the rest are handled.
Three ways to get a picture
Upload. Drag it in. There is a progress bar, and it is real — it holds at the end while the description and the crop are worked out.
Generate. Describe what you want and pick a size. This costs credits, and the price is shown before you commit to it.
Import. Give the AI a picture it can see on a page and ask it to bring it into your library. It arrives as a real file of yours, free, like an upload.
Everything lives in Files
One library per site, under Site → Files, with three tabs — Library, Generate, Upload. Anything that picks a picture opens the same library, so there is one place your pictures are and one way to choose one.
Sizes and formats are not your problem
When a picture goes onto a page it goes with everything a browser needs to pick the right version: several widths, and modern formats with a fallback for browsers that cannot read them.
You do not choose a size. Upload the photograph at its full resolution and the right version is served to each visitor.
Descriptions
Every picture gets alt text — a short description for anyone who cannot see it, and for search engines. One is suggested when you upload, and you can edit it.
It is worth editing. A suggested description says what is in the photograph; a good one says what it is doing on your page.
The focal point
Set the point of a picture that must stay visible — a face, a sign — and crops keep it in frame rather than cutting through it.
The trash
Trashing a picture takes it out of the library, out of every picker, and out of reach of the AI. It keeps being served, so a page that already uses it does not break.
Emptying the trash is the only real delete.
Deleting a picture that is in use
You are told which pages use it, and allowed to go ahead. A picture already placed on a page is written into that page, so removing the file leaves the page pointing at something that is gone.
One thing to know: a deleted picture can still be served for a while from the cache in front of the site. Deleting is for tidying up, not for taking something down urgently.
