Signing up takes a minute, costs nothing, and asks for no card.

## Three ways in

At the sign-up screen you can continue with **Google**, continue with
**Apple**, or use an **email address and a password**. All three end in the same
place and you can add the others later from your profile.

If a provider button is not on the screen, that route is not available on this
installation — a button you can see is a button that works.

## Everybody confirms an address

However you sign up, **no session starts until the email address on the account
is confirmed.** Sign up with Google or Apple and that has already happened; sign
up with an email address and a confirmation lands in your inbox.

This is not a formality we forgot to remove. An account that can be created
without a real address is an account a script can create ten thousand of, and
the free credits below are what makes that worth somebody's while.

## Your free credits

A new account gets **150 credits**, once, when it creates
its first site. Credits pay for the AI's work and nothing else, so that is
enough to build something real and change it a few times.

Keeping the site online costs no credits. Every site can be published on the free
plan, on its MightyBuilder address, where search engines can find it, with a
small MightyBuilder badge in the corner and the free limits — files up to
10 MB each and 100 MB in all, and
20,000 page views and 5 GB served a month.
Pro takes those away and lets you put your own domain on the front.

It is once per person rather than once per site: making a second site does not
top you up, and deleting the first and starting again does not either.

## If you cannot get in

There is no password reset, deliberately. **"Can't log in?" emails you a
one-time sign-in link** — press it and you are in, on that device, without
inventing a new password you will forget by Thursday.

Once you are in, you can set or change a password from your profile if you want
one. See [Signing in](/account/signing-in) for the whole of it.

## What happens next

You land on the dashboard with no sites yet. The next page is
[the dashboard](/getting-started/the-dashboard), and the one after that builds
your first site.
