# Credits

> What spends them, what keeps a site online, and what happens at zero. Credits are bought once, never expire, and belong to a site rather than an account.

Credits are what you spend on the AI. You can buy them whenever you want them,
on any site, with no subscription — and Pro includes an allowance of them every
month.

## What spends them

**Editing.** Each turn with the AI costs credits according to how much work it
did. A small wording change is cheap; building five pages is not.

**Pictures.** Generating one has a fixed price per size, shown before you
commit.

**Not** keeping the site online. That costs no credits at all, free or Pro — a
month where you change nothing spends nothing.

## What you start with

A new account gets 150 credits when it creates its first
site. Once per person, not per site — making a second site does not top you up.

## Running out

**Your site stays up.** Running out of credits stops the AI editing it and
nothing else — visitors see the site exactly as they did before.

A top-up starts the editing again straight away. On Pro, your allowance also
comes back every month, at the start of your plan's own billing month rather
than on the first of the calendar one.

## Buying more

**Billing**, in the rail, from any screen. Two things are sold:

- **A top-up** — 3¢ a credit, any amount from
200 to 20,000 at a time. It works
on a free site or a Pro one, needs no plan, never renews and never expires.
- **Pro** — from $15 a month. You choose the allowance, and every
month it tops your balance back up to that figure at a better rate than a
top-up. It also removes the badge and the free limits, and adds forms and your
  own domain.

The monthly refill never touches credits you bought in a top-up: those sit on
top of the allowance, and the allowance is spent first.

## Where your credits went

Billing has two tabs. **Credits** is the balance and what you have bought.
**Prompts** is what you have spent it on, turn by turn — what you asked for and
what it cost.

That second one is worth looking at once, early. It is the quickest way to learn
which kinds of request are expensive.

## Per site

Credits belong to a site, not to your account. Each site is free or Pro on its
own and has its own balance, and credits do not move between them.
